Christmas Markets in Provence
Enjoy the magic of Christmas in Provence, during the month of December....
The end of the year celebrations are approaching and with them, all the traditional atmosphere that we like to find. The Christmas decorations, the nativity scene and the santons, so dear to our beautiful Provence, and then the Christmas markets where it is nice to stroll at nightfall, to enjoy a thousand and one delicacies, admire the illuminations, and find tons of gift ideas.
The magic of Christmas
Christmas markets are numerous in Provence, they bring together local crafts, regional specialities and festive activities. Craftsmen's cottages, street shows, entertainment for the youngest, meetings with Santa Claus, pony rides, fun workshops, no doubt these markets will give you stars to fill your eyes!
The Castellet Christmas market
Located just a few minutes from our residence Le Domaine de Manon, don't miss this medieval Christmas market, in the heart of the old town, on the Place du Champ de Bataille. On December 15 and 16, 2018, about thirty Var farmers will gather to treat you and propose you original gifts.
And elsewhere in Provence:
- the Toulon Christmas market, from November 21 to December 31, , 35km by car. Every day from 10:30 am to 8:30 pm. Nocturnes until 9:30 pm on Fridays and until 10:30 pm on Saturdays. Closed at 8pm on Sunday and 6.30pm on Monday 31 December
- the Aubagne Christmas market, from 17 November to 30 December , 25km by car. This Christmas market is dedicated to santons and ceramics, and will take place on the Cours Foch. Every day from 10am to 7pm, Tuesday from 9am to 7pm, Monday 24 December from 10am to 4.30pm. Closed on December 25th.
- the Marseille Christmas market, from 17 November to 6 January 2, in the Old Port, 45km by car. Every day from 10am to 7pm.
- the Santons and Christmas Traditions Fair, in La Valette du Var, from 30 November to 22 December , 40km by car. Monday to Thursday from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm, and Friday to Sunday from 10 am to noon, and from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm. All you need to bring back wonders to embellish your nativity scene and Christmas decorations.
